The Dave Krache Foundation was founded in 2012 to help local kids play in their community league sports in and around metro Atlanta – even if his or her family is not in a financial position to afford the application or park fee.
The Foundation focuses on boys and girls playing softball, baseball, football, basketball, and more.
The Foundation currently relies on support from small businesses and individual donors.
We learn of kids in need through park volunteers, coaches, and word of mouth. A check is cut directly to the park and credited to the individual child’s account. We only ask that one day, that family pay it forward – whether it be financially, or volunteering time.

I just wanted to write the foundation and thank you so much for giving my son a chance to play the sport he loves… Ever since he was 2 years old he loved football and always used to run around playing football with the big kids. Watched his dad play football. Every year [he] would ask me was he old enough to play yet. This year because of your foundation his dream has come true. I have 3 other children and last January we lost my kid’s father. So I took on all the responsibility by myself. My kids are my life, and I’m giving all I have each and everyday. I try to work double shifts sometimes triple shifts at work just so I can make sure my kids have everything they want and need. No matter how tired I am I still make sure homework is done correctly, I hear about their days, they eat proper meals, they stay on top of chores, I try to reward them as much as I can. Lately, since my son has been playing football it has mentally changed him. He has been helping more around the house, he goes to bed on time, he is calmer, more respectful, focused on homework… that football program is honestly making a great impact on the kids' lives. So again thank you for everything.

I extend my thanks, gratitude, and love back to you and the foundation for all you did to improve our lives and along with that the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of my ten-year-old son…
We enjoyed every minute of every day in football. We never would have had this opportunity, as I am a single mom with no child support and disabled veteran on a fixed income with no budget for a sport without your partial scholarship. I cannot thank you enough, but I can thank you for life and who knows where he will be in the future of football.

Like many of you, I had a hard time coming up with the total amount to allow my 9th grader to enter cheerleading and hopefully build it into something that she can do and enjoy for many years to come. Once I learned about the Foundation and that there may be funds available to help us get her started, I too, swallowed my pride and asked. All the Foundation could have said is “no” but they said “yes.” It was an immediate response, too, which took away a lot of guesswork and made the rest of the budgeting for my family this summer so much easier. Things are never easy when you raise children on a limited budget. Like all of you, I want the same opportunities and avenues open to my children that are open to someone who may be more fortunate. Thank you for helping, and for someone who may find themselves in a tough spot – be smart, inform yourselves, and don’t hesitate to depend on the kindness of strangers. It is not a handout. It’s a tool I can use to help raise my child to a different level and help them be a stronger member of the community instead. When the kids succeed, we will all do better, so thank you for your gracious support to help us pursue our individual goals for the greater good!

I was concerned about how I was going to pay for my son’s football knowing that I had other obligations to sustain. I informed my son that he may have to miss this season. I was devastated by the sadness on his face. It literally ripped my heart apart. I am an individual who has pride and don’t really like to ask no one for anything because I don’t want no one to have pity for me. However, I knew at this point it was not about me. I had to put my pride to the side and I did just that. I had a conversation explaining my financial hardship and was introduced to The Dave Krache Foundation. I received an application and an answer all within 72 hours of my request. Awesome right!!! Words cannot express my deepest gratitude this organization has bestowed upon our lives during this difficult time. Football has given my son the opportunity to have a social, active life and something to look forward to. He is doing amazing in both school and football and this to me shows how much of a happy camper he is! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I wanted to take the time to THANK The Dave Krache Foundation. Though I am not a single mother, my husband and I have 6 kids and fell on hard times financially. Our oldest son has played football for the last two years and due to unforeseen occurrences, we were not able to let him play until we were blessed with the financial help from the foundation. My son would’ve been devastated if he couldn’t play & we are just so thankful to this foundation for being there for us during this hard time! Thank you for being there for the children and families that want to make a path for their children, but may not be able to provide at the time. This foundation is truly a Godsend!!

As a single mother, you want the best for your child. You want them to be able to play sports with their friends. But even working two jobs I was unable to come up with the extra $ it would cost for my son to play football. How can you look your child in the face and say “ No you can’t play your favorite sport because mommy doesn’t have the money?” They won’t understand that. I was informed of this foundation and I applied. I didn’t think I would receive assistance but I did and my son is now playing his second year of football and is flourishing. I’m truly blessed and can’t thank this foundation enough and without them and their generosity my son wouldn’t be able to play.

My granddaughter was provided with a scholarship from your organization for cheerleading. We both feel truly blessed to receive this. Living on a very limited income makes it very difficult for me to always pay for extracurricular activities. With your help, it has lightened the load and I am very appreciative.

Your program has made it possible for [my daughter] to continue in one of her favorite sports, basketball. She was so excited to make [the] team this year. Covid 19 impacted our family finances and we were not sure if we would be able to afford both of our children's basketball fees. We heard about your program and gave it try. Getting the approval letter was a breath of fresh air and definitely relieved some of the financial stresses many families are facing during this pandemic. ...We hope and pray GOD continues to bless your organization with donors the way you bless our families!
