Nothing says “Fall” like Football!

The Dave Krache Foundation was lucky enough to Marietta Youth Football & Cheer’s homecoming games a few weeks ago.  Watching these kids play was great – the coaches were passionate, the parents were enthusiastic, and most of all – the kids were having FUN!

Your donations have helped kids like these.  How cool is that?

Memorial Day Weekend!

This past weekend was action-packed!

We spent Saturday at Tractor Supply Co. in Canton, Georgia, giving out free hot dogs and accepting donations.  The turn out was terrific, and our grillmaster, John Hudson, made more than 75 hot dogs!

On Sunday and Monday, we helped run our inaugural cycling event – a bike ride that spanned the Silver Comet Trail from Hiram to Anniston.

The “long route” cyclists started in Hiram at Cycology Bike Shop.  The “short route” cyclists began in Rockmart.

You know… neither route was “short.”  You rode 90 miles the first day, or 75 miles the first day.

We stayed with 30 cyclists in Jacksonville, Alabama, and had dinner and gave out door prizes.  The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel and then headed back home – another 60+ miles for each group.

It was a great event, and over $2000 was raised in the name of kids and cycling!

Atlanta Budokan: Kids Falling for Others

These kids ROCK!

Today, kids at Atlanta Budokan had 30 minutes to do as many “falls” as possible.  They split up into groups of 3, and took turns showing various techniques and practicing taking down each other.

Friends and family had pledged to them to see how many falls they could do.

Can you please that over $1200 was fundraised, with more on the way?!  All of this money goes to help kids play the sports they love – more specifically, martial arts at Atlanta Budokan.

Atlanta Budokan has two dojos in Cobb County, and works closely with local schools in the area to offer scholarships to kids in need.  This will go a long way to changing kids’ lives.

Way to go, kids!

Buy a base!

Can’t play softball with us on June 22nd, but still want to be there in spirit?

Consider making a donation to the Foundation!

We have 8 slots of $50 open –

Buy home plate, first base, second base, or third base, on either of our two fields.

Remember playing catch with your dad?  Have a fond memory of playing third base in middle school?

Donate $50, and get your name on a banner during the June 22nd tournament.  Your donation goes straight to helping kids play sports in the community.

Want to donate?

Step 1: Email allison@davekrache.com to find out what bases are still available for “reservation”

Step 2: Let her know what you’d like printed on the banner.  For example: “In loving memory of Joe Smith, best dad on 3rd base.”

Step 3: Mail your check to The Dave Krache Foundation, and be sure to note “Buy a Base” in the memo line:

1635 Old 41 Hwy NW

Ste 112-236

Kennesaw, GA 30152

We’ll have photos of the banner to email you, so even if you can’t make it out on the 22nd, we’ll have proof that you were “there!”  🙂
